Scallop Mug - Northern Lights
These mugs are created by using the slip casting method whereas liquid clay is poured into vintage plaster molds. After a time, the excess liquid clay is poured out, leaving a casting of the mug. The mold I’m using was created in the 1970s by Duncan and is no longer in production.
Northern Lights glaze is created by using a combination of three glazes together to create an effect that reminds me a bit of the Northern Lights. Each piece is unique with shades of green, purple, and blue to create a truly beautiful effect.
The scallop mug holds the perfect 8oz latte and fits into a standard car cup holder.
Because of the way these mugs are created, they are available PREORDER only and will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete.
